what i learned from act one this far is that the abgail ruth betty and other numerous girls are being suspected to have been practice withcraft. although abagail has denyed all alligations and has only pleaded to dancing though the forest. i feel as though there is a lot she has yet to tell. she is most definatly not telling all that has been occuring with tituba the black woman from barbados. i think in the next act more accounts of witchcraft will be surfaced and abgail along with the other girls are going to point fingers at one another claiming eachother to be a witch

The 0ther girls that were there [mercy,mary]kn0w everything abagail kn0ws, but they wer t0ld t0 keep quiet 0r else they w0uld get hurt. Tituba t0 me seems suspeci0us as well, she was the 0nly adult there and she let all 0f that happen.? 3. i think Parris is going t0 figure 0ut the real reas0n abagail was "let g0" fr0m her j0b with Pr0ct0r. maybe he will be m0re alert.
what i learned in the 1st act of the Crucible was that there are three girls being prosecuted for practicing witchcraft. I specifically remember the girl Abagail being charged for doing something like.. dancing naked in the forest. Her and two other girls. Oh yeah one of the other girls names was Tituba. They were all blamed for witchcraft and are in serious trouble. I think what will happen next is that the girls each one will make up any excuse not to get caught (whether they did it or not). They will go to desperate measures.
I think at the end of act 1 I was confused and I think everyone is being sneeky especially after all the girls got together and started discussing the situation and kind of rehearsing what the story was and what they should say next.
My impression of the Crucible at the end of Act One, is that girls are be persecuted as witches, based apon dancing in the woods or being sick. The families of these people want to keep these things a secret. What we know about the characters so far is that Abagail and Proctor were once together and now he denies her. Proctor is very controlling and his wife Elizabeth cant get pass the fact that Proctor was with Abagail. Proctor tells Elizabeth what to do. I predict that the following acts it will more interesting, and more people will start dieing.
At the end of act one i was very confused on every person that played in it. For example why did proctor having a wife be with a younger girl having 17 years old not considering he is a puritan making it not only child molesting but also going against his beliefs. The act was interesting but very confusing at the time but that might be the fact of the lack of information i have about the salem witch trials
