presentation day 4 - finishing up

Jonathan Williams presented on Anne Spencer. What did she do? What was she famous for? What poems were she famous for?

Vicky presented on Countee Cullen. What was unique about his childhood? What kinds of writing did he do?

Please make sure to bring in your permission slips for the trip no later than April 1. You need to bring in $15 as well.

Anne Spencer was a poet she was the first african american to have a poem published in virgina. "the skeptic" & "black man of mine". both which were had descriptive language.

Countee Cullen-He was adopted. he was a translator,poet and childrens writer.

Anne Spencer- She was a poet. She was famous for the story black man of mine and the skeptic.

Countee Cullen- He was very educated. He was adopted and never knew his parents. He was a poet, a was a writer as well.

anne spencer was a harlem renaissancepoet. she won fame for being the first african american lady to havee her poem published in virginia. the poems that she won fame for were skeptic and black men of mine!
countee cullen was an adopted kid, and he never had the chance to know his father or mother. He was a poet, translator, childrens writer, anthropoligists, and more!

Anne Spencer was a poet. She was famous for writing her poems on nature and being African American, such as Skeptic and Black Man of Man.
Countee Cullen's childhood was unique because he his birthplace is not certain, and he was adopted by a family that took him in, and it was said that his adoptive mother could have been his grandmother. Cullen wrote plays, poems and novels.

Anne Spencer- A poet, she was famous for the "The skeptic of the carnival". The "black man of mine" as i recall was a poem that Jonathan liked.

Countee Cullen- She had a life in privacy, she was adopted by a reverend and eventually took his name because she was so inspired by his spiritual belief. She wrote children stories was a poet, novelist, translator and a play writer. she mostly wrote about being African American and religion.
