Eubie Blakes.Something different about him was that he started his music training at the age of 5. An interesting fact was that he had been smoking since the age of 10 and died at 96 so tobacco companies used him to advertise cigarettes.

one interesting about dorothys family is that her dad was a former slave. but inspite of that he owned his own company one day. the family valued their reputation. dorothy ended up writing the book the wedding day at the age of 40 and wrote magazines for the rest of her days. josephine baker was an actress, singer, dancer, and civil rights activists. the performance that made her famous was the one in shuffle witch was the first black broadway play. she was known for being a actress but was considered controversal when she wrote a book on civil rights. the names of willis richardson had to leave north carolina because he got involved in a violent riot started by white men, which ended up in 16 black men losing their precious lives. some of florence mills nick names were the wide eyed beauty. they tell that she was beautiful but had very wide eyes. she was in the show shuffle with Eubie Blakes. i learned that he was a man who truly valued education. and even tho back then the times were very racists he would not stop trying to achieve his ultimate goal of becoming a teacher. nothing was more important to him than education. something i learned abiut his early life is his dad left the family when he was at the tender age of 8. he was famous for writing poems and short stories, his inspiration was walt whitmaan amd boldelear.what was different about eubie is he started his training around the age of 4. his talent was discovered in a store by a manager when he was playing a pump organ. the most interesting fact was that he began smoking at the age of 10 and lived till he was 96!
