Marita Bonner was different because she spoke mostly about black women and their rights she wrote things that were not common at that time to write about.

Gwendolyn Bennett was an artist , writer , and teacher she was married two times she wrote a book called "wedding day"

Arna Botemps he wrote poetry, novels, and plays. he got a teaching position in harlem.

Eric Walrond wrote a lot of short stories. UNIA Marcus Gravy influenced him to write.

Nella Larsen hed an passing mother and a damish imigrant father left her a a child.

What made Marita Bonner different was that she wrote about a lot of uncommon things like marriage, poverty and sexism.
What I found interesting about Bonner was that as well racism was a problem; sexism was as much of a problem as well.

Walter Francis White was associated with the NSPCA, in which he was the chief of.
A propagandist is someone who spreads propaganda.
His core beliefs were that everyone should have equal rights.
Something I found interesting about him was that he investigated linchin.

Arna Bontemps played a role in the Harlem renaissance by supporting children and believing they needed to be thought right because they were our future. He continued writing in his later life until his death.

Eric Walronds writing was about his experiences, like when he was coming back from England to America, and how he dreaded coming back. The magazine that gave him his start was "Informer" and” messenger magazine" His writing was characterized as " short sentences and exotic details"
The UNIA stands for universal Negros improvement association, it preserves African American rights.

Nella Larsen the controversy of her during her college years was that she had violated the schools dress code therefore she was expelled.
Another career she had was that she was a nurse.
I’m not quite sure but I think she stopped because she was accused of plagiarism.

Jessie Fauset mostly wrote about gender only very few about racism. She was discriminated against her writing because she wrote mostly about gender not racism.
She was light skinned so she had somewhat of an advantage and was able to see besides the racism that there was also discrimination toward gender. I think I can compare her with Marita Bonner because they both wrote about sexism and gender.

Claude McKay was from Jamaica and it influenced a lot of his writing like his book “songs of Jamaica". He was a communist and traveled alot.something interesting about his political beliefs were that although he was a communist he thought the way people presented communism was wrong.

Marita bonner- she did plays about the negitive fell on black people. by being silent you can get infomation to get stronger. I thought her plays were interesting because it would always made you think.

Walter francis- The NSBCA. He was the cheif excuctive. A propagandist is one that uses images to persue people to buy or think about something. his core beliefs was for equalitary.

Gwendolyn Bennett- she was a teacher of art and a poet. He was kidnapped by her father. Her fouse was on racial pride. Because most people talked about racial things as well.

Arna Bontemps. He taught in a harlem school. His father died and that helped shape his life because he had inperation. he was a liberian later in his life. He is one of the top 100 greatest african-american mirror.

Eric walword- his father left when he was eight. he did magizines like smart set. It was characterized as underrated and less than steller. Universal Negro Improvement Association

In richard's awesome amazing sptacular trememdous...i ran out of words. Anyway Nella's father left her. she lived in denmark in her childhood but came back to the states later on. that she was thrown out a college because of a dress code. a nurse. because her hasband died.

Marita was diferent because she was mor consernded with womens rights than African American ones. She felt that if she never gave up no matter what others thought she would be able to overcome things. I learned that alot of her work delt with issuse that weren't talked about, like home issues. Walter was associated with the NSPCA. He became the director of the group bring with him much exsposer. A propagandist is someone who brings attetion to a topic how ever it maybe. His core beilfs where that African American's should be treated equally. The thing that was suprising about him was that he posed a white man. To infaltrate the KKK. Gwendoyln had a number of jobs including poet, novelist, and coluomist. She focused on womens rights. Her belifs were similar to Marita Bonner. Arna plated a big role in the Harlem Renisanes because he was teacher at a school. H spent his life writing and helping education developement. Eric Walroud wrote mostly short stories. He was heavly influnced by Marcus Garvey who inspired him. The UNIA was a association for that advanciment of African American's. Nella got kicked out of colloge because she dint follow the dress code. She stoped writng because she was accused of playgarism. Jessie Farurst wrote alot about female rights.Which was similar to Marita bonner. She was also sister to Arthur Farurst who was also in the harlem renisance

She spoke on issues that were'nt really talked about. People at the time didnt understand it at all. I found it interesting that people didnt understand what she was talking about.

Walter was associated with the NAACP. Because of his light skin he went to the KKK meetings and shared the news with the NAACP.He believed Blacks shouldnt be treated the way the were.

Gwendolyn Bennettwas a writer, artist, poet, and teacher She focused on eqaulity for all. Many people wanted the same thing equality for all.

Arna Bontemps played a big role in the Harlem Renaissance he contributed with poetry, novels, and children books. His father was threatned by two drunk white men. Due to that his family moved to Los Angeles. LAter in life he became a teacher and in honor of him his old house has been shaped into his own musuem.

Eric lived in Georgetown with his mother until his was 20 years old. His father left him when he was 8 years old. Messanger magazine started his career off. He was noticed by Marcus Garvey and followed in his steps and Marus was Erics influence.

Nella was born in Chicago. She was fairly lightskin whic came to her advantage. In her college years she would get expelled from Fisk for not following the dress code. She was a nurse & librianian. She stopped being a nurse because she was more interested in poetry nd becoming a librianian.

Jessie Fauset she was the only one to attend a prestigice high school and graduate with all honors. She wrote novels about discrimination with women and women inspired her.
Because she is a black women who married twice to both a white man and black man. I can compare her to Toni Morrision and Maya Angelo, and also any female who isn't scared to date out of their color.

Claude was born in Jamaica and his brother taught him all he knew from that day. He worked from Socialist Paper and traveled to Africa & England. And Toured russia for 6 months. Ever since the communist openly wanted him to accept to be one of them he denied and focused more on the reality of communisim. I think it is interesting he feels the same way many feel about communisim in the present.

Walter White was associated with the NSPCA. He was a propagandist which means that he tried to pursue to believe his beliefs. he was an activist. What I interesting was that he used his light skin to his advantage by spying on the ku klux Klan to gather information for the NSPCA

Gwendolyn Bennet was an artist writer and teacher she studied at howard and was married twice once to a black man and other to a white man. which was very controversial then. Her writing focused mostly on racism and woman's rights.Marita Bonner also wrote on that same genre and she too wasn't very well known.

Arna Bontemps played a big role in the Harlem renaissance because he was a such a diverse writer he wrote children books and short. he stories and plays. He was sent to a white boarding school when he refused to take apprenticeship with his father in being a mason. It inspired him to write because by his father attempt to make him forget his racial heritage just made him want to enforce it more.

Eric Walrond traveled a lot he attended many different schools. He wrote short stories magazine. his career really began when he wrote in the UNIA he became very close with marcus garvey and he also became a big inspiration for him because marcus believed in equality and all these civil rights.

Nella Larsen's father abandoned the family. she grew up in a middle class household. she was expelled in college, she later went to nursing school she then quit to be a librarian.

Jessie Fauset she studies at cornell univesity. she became editor of crisis magazine she was mostly known for her novels and she wrote stories of racism and inequality she had three popular pieces one of which was called "plumtree". her lightskin was a major advantage for her in society at the time . She was very much like the two other woman. the harlem renaissamnce were all very similar in many aspects i think because they all beleived and had the same ideas.

Claude Mckay was born and raised and jamica, he to traveled a lot and even lived in the caribean for a point in his life. His writing started from when he was young age. His first writing pieces spoke of jamicait was called "song of jamica". he was educated by his brother. i found it intresting how he was a communist but on a vist to the soviet union his entire view was changed when he realized how demanding and discplined it was. Also how he traveled through europe and africa. most people at that time did travel to the extent and see the world.

Martia Bonner
FIRST off lets get this straight, Christina K did not research this person, this person researched Christina K. I don't care how corny that sounds, it's true.

Martina Bonner spoke about how black women should be equal to white men, she wrote about things that werent popular at the time, and her writings were appreciated after her death unfortunately.

Gwendolyn Bennet became a teacher and was into educating the young about african-american cultures. She was also a writer, and her books were not well known until after her death. Her daughter published her book I believe.

Eric Walron was known for his short stories. He ran away to europe unannounced, and died in london. The magazine that kicked off his career was...forgot D: THE UNIA stood for The United Negores Improvement Assosication.

Walter Francis White was a propagandist,He believed everyone was equal, and that was his motivation.

Claude McKay, he was a communist, he went to Russia and when he saw the communism there, it was no the way he interpeted it. He was born in Jamaica, went to africa, russia, and married in Japan. According to Alex "I don't even care what anyone says, he is deadass the man."

Nella-
She was danish decent, and she lived in denmark in her childhood. She moved to NY to experience the Harlem Renaissance and she was kicked out of school because she disobeyed the dress code. She became a librarian and a nurse.

Marita Bonner
-What was different about her was that she wrote about marriage problems and sexism. Bonner felt that America needed to surpass sexism and segregation. What I found interesting about Bonner was that she presented sexism and racism very well, because it was something she felt being an African American women. I also found interesting how she brought up the concept of marriage issues, because I know marriage was something sacred and there problems weren’t spoken of too much
Walter Francis White
-White joined the NCCA, where he used the advantage of his light skin to get inside information on the K.K.K. A propagandist is someone who tries to persuade people into doing something. His core belief was that blacks should be treated equally. What was surprising to me was that because of his light skin people thought he was white even though he was an African American, but despite that he still wanted to make a change for blacks.
Gwendolyn Benett
-Some of the jobs she had are an artist, poet and teacher. Her focus of writing was on African American social and cultural background. She wrote about sexism which something that Marita Bonner also wrote about.
Arna Bonterips
-He had a close relation with Langston Hughes and shared writing. His father was attacked and died which forced him to move to Los Angles. This made him shape his life because it made him want change.
Eric Walrond
-He was raised with out his father, and he moved around a lot. He mostly wrote short stories and most of his topics were about black culture. Messenger magazine gave him his start.
Nella Lason
-She was raised in Denmark. She was expelled in college for not following the dress code. One of the jobs she had was a librarian.
Jessie Fauset
-She went to college. She wrote for the Crisis magazine. She was discriminated against her gender and her race. She is similar to Gwedolyn Benett and Marita Bonner, because they also wrote about sexism.
Claude McKay
-He was raised in Jamaica, by his older brother who also teaches him. A folklorist encouraged him to write songs. He believed in socialism, and traveled to Russia to study communism.
